Steroids in Vanguard

Hi avengingknight here bringing you a GN deck review! Yes as you see from the title, its a deck based around giving extra power to your allies at the cost of retiring them at the end phase. However, The deck is build around that problem where actually the retiring will end up giving you a plus! Lets get on with the decklist!

Grade 0:

Gardening Mole x 1

Dictionary Goat x 4

Castanet Donkey x 4

Triangle cobra x 4

Ruler Chameleon x 4

grade 1:

Cable sheep x 4

Loop-The-Loop, Duckbill x 4

Stamp sea otter x 4

Silver wolf x 3

grade 2:

Binocular Tiger x 4

Compass lion x 4

Bar code zebra x 2

Geography Giant x 1 or 3 geo giant and 0 zebra.

Grade 3:

Polaris x 4

Magnet crocodile x 3

gardening mole- One of the starters that gives you a good plus when combined with loop the loop.

max out on negates due to format.

Sea otter- Heart of the deck. With this guy, you can take steroids without side effects.

bino tiger- main card that gives steroids to your units making them very difficult to guard.

compass lion- works well with gardening mole, sea otter and loop the loop.

bar code- just for fun!

Polaris- heart, brain, soul, legs ,hand and everything else of the deck. Its limit break is extremely good. With bino tiger, your sea otter get a free 8k power and you get to attack 4 time which can be devastating,

Well this deck hits for really big numbers and gains advantage through that.

some combos:
1) Ride into compass lion and call cable sheep. attack with cable sheep and lion. end phase retire cable sheep and use gardening effect to add it to hand.

2) call bino tiger and and loop the loop and give effect to a cable sheep. next attack with bino and give steroids to cable sheep(meh meh!) attack with a 10k sheep and end phase use gardening to return sheep to hand and loop the loop to draw 1.

3) Call magnet croc to rear guard. attack with bino and give steroids to magnet. next magnet attacks un-boosted. Then polaris attacks and stand magnet giving it extra 8k in total. next boost and attack for up to 28k with croc and retire it at end phase. if u have loop the loop its a huge plus~

Well that sums up the deck review. Basically the deck hits really huge and maintains hand size. Not much consistency issues. Hope you enjoyed reading this post!

L2P report

Yesterday was License to play Poly vs Poly championship. my team entered under the name Ninja Master M! we went to Marina Bay Sands by cab because we could. The place was the main reason why me and my friend were interested in this event! My other team member was Card protagonist. be sure to check out his awesome youtube videos. so anyway, time to go on with the report~

It was a round robin and we had to fight all the other 4 teams.

I played angel feathers, card protagonist played spike bro and my last team mate played SDD

Match 1 vs SDD gold pala- lost
My deck suddenly forgot how to check triggers. so i lost eventually.

team score X0X

match 2 vs kagero-Win
Nurse overpowered his dragons. shamsel limits break and damage swap gave me the upperhand

team score 000

match 3 vs Galahad SSD-Win
Nurse limit break too OP. he crit me and i became 14000, making everything a 5k guard. then heal trigger came and i kept hitting for 21000

team score 0X0

match 4 vs moon deck-Win
Silent tomb is a bitch against all decks except mine cause i can use 5k shield for that. nociel will take care of hit. and with all my units hitting for 21k its hard for him.

team score 0X0

finals vs kagero-Win
He did the mistake of keeping me at 3 damage and died to my advantage. also 21k units are super good.

team score 0X0

so we won first place and got a medal for each.
Had a good experience.
cya!
