Steroids in Vanguard
Hi avengingknight here bringing you a GN deck review! Yes as you see from the title, its a deck based around giving extra power to your allies at the cost of retiring them at the end phase. However, The deck is build around that problem where actually the retiring will end up giving you a plus! Lets get on with the decklist!
Grade 0:
Gardening Mole x 1
Dictionary Goat x 4
Castanet Donkey x 4
Triangle cobra x 4
Ruler Chameleon x 4
grade 1:
Cable sheep x 4
Loop-The-Loop, Duckbill x 4
Stamp sea otter x 4
Silver wolf x 3
grade 2:
Binocular Tiger x 4
Compass lion x 4
Bar code zebra x 2
Geography Giant x 1 or 3 geo giant and 0 zebra.
Grade 3:
Polaris x 4
Magnet crocodile x 3
gardening mole- One of the starters that gives you a good plus when combined with loop the loop.
max out on negates due to format.
Sea otter- Heart of the deck. With this guy, you can take steroids without side effects.
bino tiger- main card that gives steroids to your units making them very difficult to guard.
compass lion- works well with gardening mole, sea otter and loop the loop.
bar code- just for fun!
Polaris- heart, brain, soul, legs ,hand and everything else of the deck. Its limit break is extremely good. With bino tiger, your sea otter get a free 8k power and you get to attack 4 time which can be devastating,
Well this deck hits for really big numbers and gains advantage through that.
some combos:
1) Ride into compass lion and call cable sheep. attack with cable sheep and lion. end phase retire cable sheep and use gardening effect to add it to hand.
2) call bino tiger and and loop the loop and give effect to a cable sheep. next attack with bino and give steroids to cable sheep(meh meh!) attack with a 10k sheep and end phase use gardening to return sheep to hand and loop the loop to draw 1.
3) Call magnet croc to rear guard. attack with bino and give steroids to magnet. next magnet attacks un-boosted. Then polaris attacks and stand magnet giving it extra 8k in total. next boost and attack for up to 28k with croc and retire it at end phase. if u have loop the loop its a huge plus~
Well that sums up the deck review. Basically the deck hits really huge and maintains hand size. Not much consistency issues. Hope you enjoyed reading this post!

L2P report
Yesterday was License to play Poly vs Poly championship. my team entered under the name Ninja Master M! we went to Marina Bay Sands by cab because we could. The place was the main reason why me and my friend were interested in this event! My other team member was Card protagonist. be sure to check out his awesome youtube videos. so anyway, time to go on with the report~
It was a round robin and we had to fight all the other 4 teams.
I played angel feathers, card protagonist played spike bro and my last team mate played SDD
Match 1 vs SDD gold pala- lost
My deck suddenly forgot how to check triggers. so i lost eventually.
team score X0X
match 2 vs kagero-Win
Nurse overpowered his dragons. shamsel limits break and damage swap gave me the upperhand
team score 000
match 3 vs Galahad SSD-Win
Nurse limit break too OP. he crit me and i became 14000, making everything a 5k guard. then heal trigger came and i kept hitting for 21000
team score 0X0
match 4 vs moon deck-Win
Silent tomb is a bitch against all decks except mine cause i can use 5k shield for that. nociel will take care of hit. and with all my units hitting for 21k its hard for him.
team score 0X0
finals vs kagero-Win
He did the mistake of keeping me at 3 damage and died to my advantage. also 21k units are super good.
team score 0X0
so we won first place and got a medal for each.
Had a good experience.
cya!

Who is the boss of cross ride?
Ok so this is a post about the comparison of all the cross rides released Untill now. The first two cross rides to be introduced were phantom blaster overlord and the almighty dragonic overlord the end. Next came great daiyusha, followed by platinum ezel, goddess of sun ameterasu, illuminal dragon, vermillion the blood and SDD cross. The reason for all this cross ride? It's that bastard dote's fault! Bushiroad is trying to balance out the game by introducing so many cross rides cause they realised they were completely retarded when they created dote. By far, dote is the best cross ride. Reason is that it's effect is very devastating. And the fact that it can be used at any point if the game. Which means, it's not a limit break or conditional effect. I would rather take a hit from great daiyusha then letting my opponent twin drive and sac me with triggers again. Plus you are obliged to guard at early game because of the effect, causing u major dis advantage. Worst part is? Your opponent may not have another dote in the hand. And even if u know that, there is a chance that they might drive check it. So I think I have explained clearly why dote is the best cross ride among the rest. And why the fuck is PBO a cross ride? I mean its effect is the worst in the whole world of cross rides. Well hope u understand my reasoning and learned where to invest your money on! Cheers! And oh! Twin drive! Get! Critical trigger!

What to expect for worlds
This post is to give you an idea of what you will expect to see the most in worlds!
5th position
Aquaforce- A new clan and also an over-hyped deck. Has some potential but has some consistency issues
4th position
Gold paladin- This deck will be an interesting choice. There are many versions. you will mostly see pellinore build as Aichi is using it now and all the kids do whatever he does. and a few logical person will actually use the better builds.
3rd position
Zeal- This deck has very high potential. It can easily take down non-crossride decks. Zeal's limit break is something you have to fear alot. Although playing around this deck will shut it down.
2nd position
spike brothers- Since this deck won ACME, many people will opt to play this as its very aggressive. Dudley emperor gave this deck a huge boost. expect to see many of this.
1st position
DOTE- Well, there you have it! The big charizard is gonna dominate the shit out of the tournament.
miscellaneous decks- Neo nectar great dai, MLB.- all these are not much of a threat. Neo nectar might be problem if they have a good set up. rear guard with 26000 power is scary!
well that sums up my post. hope it helped in preparing for worlds that is coming soon! good luck!

Stand vs critical
This is one of the questions being asked by many. Which is better? Stand triggers or critical triggers? Imagine a situation where you have 3 attacks left and the next two cards are both triggers. And your opponents has card in his hands to guard for 50k.also your opponents needs 20k for vg and 10k for each rear guard. his hand consists of 4 10k shield and 2 5k shield. So first situation, your VG attacks for 20k two pass. You check 2 Crits and you pass one per rear guard. Now your opponent needs to guard for 15k each rear guard. So he uses up 20+15+15=50. And he stops your attacks.2nd situation. You attack with 2 of your rear guards first and he uses up 20k shield. Now his hand is 2 x 10k and 2 x 5k. Next your vg attacks and he guards for 20k. You check 2 stands and stand 2 of your rear guards. Initially each rear guard was 10k. Lets assume, without a boost its gonna be 5k guard. So with 2 stand triggers its gonna be 10k for each rear guard. And your opponent is left with 2 x 5k in his hand, making him unable to guard. So in certain situation, stand is better. Especially in situation where opponent guards for no pass thinking they are safe from your attacks. Then when u check your stands, they will go high and flip table~ well in theory stand is better, but of course, double crit is nasty~ well hope you enjoyed this post!!!

GREATOO DAIYUUUSHHHAAA
Went for Lolcals today.
Deck used: Great Dai-YUUUUUUSHHHAAAA
5 Round Swiss, cut to Top 8
Number of Participants: 24
1st round: JI ENDO O
He misgraded at Grade 1 for 3 turns, therefore, my advantage was too much. Almost died though, cuz my deck decided to not flip Triggers and make me look like a bad player.
2nd round: Proudhearted Dragon X
I got gradestuck at Grade 1 for 5 turns. GGfied. All the Daibattles in hand Q.Q
3rd round: EVIL EVIL ALIENS X
Got Gradestuck at Grade 0 for a while. GG.
┻━┻ ︵ヽ(`Д´)ノ︵ ┻━┻
4th round: Angel Feather O
The stupidity that is DaiyushaCrossride + Laurel eventually wins out against his Mobile Hospital.
5th round: RAINBOW STRIKE FREEDOM ZOIDS O
He flipped triggers after Triggers on me, truly world-class level. However, it backfired because he used Dark Rex Superior Ride when all 16 of his Triggers were accounted for. And subsequently tried to hit my CROSSRAIDO GAIGOGAR with his 10k unboosted Dark Rex. Good luck with that. I just say "no Guard" lol.
Top 8: EVIL EVIL ALIENS XOX
1st game: I tried to keep him at 3 damage so he doesn't go SUPER SPECIAL AWESOME DEMONIC CHARGING ROAR on me, but he flips Triggers so he breaks past my 2 to pass guard.
2nd game: Laurel farming is delicious. I like Costless JI ENDO skill.
3rd game: Another "Let's keep him at 3 damage while I'm at 5 so I don't die" and died to Stand + Heal Trigger after I exhausted my guards.
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
Bottom 4: EVIL EVIL ALIENS O??
1st game: I just killed him with Dailander + Laurel Shinanigans after he keeps guarding.
2nd and 3rd game(if there was a 3rd game) Can't remember sorry =.=
5th/6th: Proudhearted Dragon OXX
1st game: He misgrade = I win.
2nd game: He did his stupid Stunts with Spectre Halberd and crushed me.
3rd game: Almost got it in the bag until he Crit + Draw to break past 2 to pass guard and end my Burning Justice.
Got a Full Moon Deckbox for being 6th and a freaking cow from the promo pack. @#$%@$%#@$

My first attempt with Zeal deck
So i went down to my local shop for a tournament today. I used my zeal deck as i wanted to see its potential. Here is how it went
5 round swiss then cut to top 8
round 1 vs DOTE
Clearly he was not very experienced as he attacked my rear guard when he had an additional crit on his burning horn dragon. If he had not done many mistake, i might have been in trouble. But i activated the most imba limit break and made his DOTE suffer the galactic beast.
round 2 vs Pale moon
I miss graded at grade 2. So i did my best to deal as much damage as possible with my rear guards. I was loosing when i suddenly saw a light from my deck. It was the 6th damage and it was a heal trigger. I was like "i need a miracle" and i drew miracle beauty! I twin drive for a draw and a stand trigger ftw!
round 3 vs Tachi
I finally pulled of the chain ride for once. rushed him alot during early game and he healed at the 6th damage. But the next turn i activated limit break and he was unable to guard against a force of galactic beast's army.
round 4 vs DOTE
He miss grade at grade 0. so he conceded.
round 5
did not play.
top 8 vs Dimensional police(Daiyusha)
game 1- he was a genius and did not attack my vanguard. so i was at 3 damage and he was at 5. he guarded for 2 pass. I twin drive checked 2 triggers and i gave the effect of all into the middle.
game 2- His great daiyusha was just too strong with commander trolaurel. cant guard it anymore so i just scooped
game 3 - He went into genius mode again by attacking my 7000 rear guard when he had double crit. so i just beat him down slowly with my drive check checking stand triggers. But if he attacked my vanguard, it would have been a horrible death for him lol.
top 4 vs Dimensional police(Daiyusha)
game 1-Limit break twice during the game. His hand was not big enough to guard as he had 5 damage already due to my early game rush.
game 2- Did not have zeal in my hand all the while and miracle beauty as VG is bad. so I cant keep up against Great daiyusha.
game 3- I checked stand when he guarded for no pass. He was at 4 damage. so it gave me the extra damage to kill him using my limit break the next turn. also i was lucky that he did not check any triggers or i would have lost before i could end the game.
Top 2 vs DOTE(ironic)
game 1- miss graded at grade 0
game 2- regular DOTE overpowering me. did not ride zeal as vg again and lost horribly.
But overall i think zeal is a very good deck. If given a good hand, it can beat any deck. I bought EB03 box from the winner at half price and got an SP inside hahaha! totally worth it. Well, i would like to end the post by saying Its good that VG is getting more fun now, rather than everyone playing DOTE, there are better option now.

My galactic beast zeal decklist
Grade 0:
zeal
4 draw
4 heal
8 stand
Grade 1:
4 daisy
4 zeal
1 glory maker
2 speed star
3 negates
1 psychic grey
grade 2:
4 zeal
3 twin order
4 strike beast gunlock
grade 3:
4 zeal
4 Miracle beauty
Explanations:
Speed star: This deck has to hit hard every turn. and speed star helps me get the magic number sometimes. For example, my grade 0 zeal can hit his 6000 power VG with speed star.
Miracle beauty: I choose to play 4 as i play 8 stands. Miracle beauty is a very good card. especially when you check a stand trigger after your opponent has finished guarding for his life.
basically this deck has to be aggressive and rush early game to totally annihilate your opponent during late game.
fel free to give any suggestions~ thanks!

A true monster
ACT【V】: Limit Break 4 (This ability is active if you have four or more damage): [Counter Blast (2)] Choose one of your opponent's vanguards, and that unit gets Power -1000 for each of your «Dimension Police» rear-guards until end of turn. This ability can only be used once per turn.
CONT【V】: If you have a card named "Devourer of Planets, Zeal" in your soul, this unit gets Power +1000.
This card is just too broken. This deck has enough potential to beat any deck out there. If you managed to pull the ride chain off its a assured game for you in less than 5 turns. Of course when you use this deck you have to be as aggressive as possible because the deck relies on either making your opponent guard more or dealing as much damage as possible during early game. Trust me when i say "you win if you activated zeal's LB when your opponent is at 5 damage". The deck plays 8 stand. The stands are very important as It forces opponent to guard even more or else they will end up loosing. This card is a true genius creation. I used this deck against DOTE and i technically won 5 games(out of the 5 games, He checked heal 3 times when he was at 6th damage). So this deck has very good potential. I would suggest You all to get a play set of this card. Its too dam strong!!!!!!! best limit break ever. You might not see the true power just by reading this post. so go fight against it and find out! cya~
